Your tasks:
- Work as a Wind Tunnel Operator within our Wind Tunnel Operations Group
- Execute wind tunnel test runs according to the scheduled aerodynamic activities
- Operate Wind Tunnel Control Systems and troubleshoot possible problems and failures in the (sub)systems during test sessions
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of wind tunnel machinery and equipment
- Prepare all wind tunnel systems prior to each test session
- Carry out mechanical assembly, installation, and testing of wind tunnel and model equipment and tools
- Provide support and technical information to Wind Tunnel Aerodynamic Engineers
- Report directly to the Wind Tunnel Operations Group Leader
Your profile
- The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and demonstrate enthusiasm and motivation to learn quickly the technologies applied in our wind tunnel aerodynamic projects
- Willingness and curiosity to learn the technological aspects of wind tunnel testing
- Excellent team player and communicator, able to work effectively across multiple groups
- Responsible daily working style and strong interpersonal skills
- Good manual dexterity for mechanical and/or electrical tasks
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work
- Ability to perform at a high level, sometimes under significant pressure
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Availability to work day & night shifts in a wind tunnel environment, including weekends and bank holidays
- Familiarity with the Windows platform and Microsoft 365
- Good written and spoken English skills.
