As a Strategy & Performance Engineer (m/f/d) you will play a key role in the field of ‘Vehicle Operations in the World Endurance Championship including the 24h of Le Mans’. You will on one side be responsible to optimise strategy scenarios of the Le Mans Hypercar during races, develop its standard and on the other side take part in the performance engineering group for test events, simulator session or other in-house activities.

Your tasks:

  • Prepare, Setup, Analyse strategy scenario before/during/after race events and be in charge of feeding information and advise the race engineering team on strategic options which are developing.
  • Establish and develop new processes and logics to have most effective visualisation and decision metrics.
  • Lead the development of the software tools and function which relates to strategy but also additionally race engineering operation and performance.
  • Be able to substitute punctually in the role of performance engineer for test events or simulator sessions.
  • Study and contribute to the performance development of chassis vehicle related aspects but also control systems.
  • Work together with dedicated, interdisciplinary project teams

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a Masters/Bachelor degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • Have several years of experience in comparable racing category (WEC HY, F1 or IMSA)
  • Have strong technical background in vehicle dynamics, tyres, suspensions, aerodynamics and control systems
  • Have ability to code application in multiple languages is a big plus.
  • Be a teamplayer, have excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate calm way of thinking when under pressure
  • Be flexible to travel frequently to events when required
