We are looking for a Senior Engineer (m/f/d) Engine / Powertrain Development to be part of our works motorsport team in Cologne, Germany.

Your tasks:

  • responsible for developing and optimizing of our next-generation engine / powertrain systems
  • work closely with cross-functional teams including design and production to ensure that our engines / powertrain systems meet and exceed performance, efficiency, and emissions targets as well as fail safe, drivability and reliability requirements
  • utilize advanced modeling and simulation tools to predict and optimize engine behavior under various operating conditions
  • plan and execute engine testing, including dynamometer and real-world testing, to validate design performance and identify areas for improvement
  • analyze test data and collaborate with the team to iterate on designs, addressing any issues and optimizing engine performance
  • stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation in engine / powertrain development


The successful candidate will:

  • have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
  • have proven experience in engine / powertrain development, including a strong understanding of internal combustion engines and related technologies.
  • have professional knowledge / experience with future energy carriers as e-fuels and hydrogen 
  • be experience with dynamometer testing and data analysis
  • have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • show excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively
