Engineer (m/f/d) Reliability Development - ICE Powertrains

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Development Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team and take a significant role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) powertrains and sub-systems. As a Reliability Development Engineer, you will work closely with internal and external experts, plan and coordinate validation and inspection programs, and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art powertrains. Your work will be instrumental in supporting our race and test events worldwide.

Your Tasks:

  • Collaborate with internal and external experts to develop and approve ICE powertrains and sub-systems
  • Take responsibility for planning, coordinating, analyzing, documenting, and reporting on the powertrain validation and inspection program
  • Work with the team to define system and component reliability test patterns and validation criteria
  • Conduct failure root cause analyses, analyze data and build a comprehensive database
  • Plan, execute, and follow up on reliability tests on transient test benches and tracks
  • Develop and define test procedures, set limits, and specify test strategies
  • Utilize knowledge and experience with relevant measurement and analysis tools

 

The successful candidate will:

  • have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline 
  • have expertise in metallurgical structures, processes and failure mechanisms
  • show practical experience with used engine parts
  • display proficiency in both written and spoken English, excellent teamwork, strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward flexible working hours
  • be willing to travel as needed
