We are looking for a Senior Engineer (m/f/d) Powertrain Research & Development to be part of our works motorsport team in Cologne, Germany.

Your tasks:
- development of engines and engine subsystems in terms of performance, efficiency and emissions regulations
- development, testing and validation of internal combustion engine thermodynamics as well as mechanics with respect to latest regulations of the given motorsport class or road cars.
- Take responsibility for dyno testing programs for full-engines as well as Single-cylinder-engines.
- planning, coordination and executing engine tests in dynamic and static test benches and on car tests.
- Data post processing, analysis and reporting to relevant stakeholders and customers.
- Communication and definition of development steps and processes with the involved departments and customers.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a Master/ Bachelors Degree in a relevant engineering discipline and show relevant working experience
- Have relevant experience within the field of ICE development and testing
- good knowledge of engine thermodynamics and combustion, ideally with alternative fuels like Hydrogen
- Basic knowledge of state-of-the-art engine control systems and development of ECU control functions for performance and drivability requirements
- Have good English skills, good communication skills as well as a positive attitude towards flexible working hours and be an excellent team player
- experience with Hybrid Units and Hybrid Powertrains helpful/useful, but not mandatory
- display good knowledge with engine measurement tools, sensors and post-processing tools
- Be willing to travel
